Where It All Began

Georgia and Joe first crossed paths at the Marriott Grand National, not knowing an ordinary workday would turn into something extraordinary. Georgia spent her days running banquets, and on quieter nights, she would step into the restaurant to help wherever she was needed. Joe worked there as a server, and he admired her strong work ethic, her kindness, and the heart behind everything she did.

A Connection That Just Made Sense

Spending time together felt easy from the start. What began as working side by side slowly grew into something more, without either of them forcing it. Their connection developed naturally, built on shared respect, meaningful conversations, and an effortless understanding of one another. From the very beginning, being together simply felt right.

A First Date to Remember

Their first date took place at the Botanical Gardens in Opelika, a place that is quiet, romantic, and a little magical. As they sat together, taking in the beauty around them, a magician stopped by their table to perform—turning an already special evening into something unforgettable. It was one of those nights that felt effortless, meaningful, and full of possibility.

Growing Together Through Life’s Milestones

Life continued to move forward for both of them. In July 2023, Georgia began a new role at VCOM, while Joe remained at the Marriott. Around that same time, they decided to move into a rental home together—an exciting step toward building a life side by side. As they settled into this new chapter, they filled their days with shared experiences, from tailgating with friends and family to gathering for family Halloween parties and cheering on Auburn together, making memories in both the big moments and the everyday ones.

That December brought even more milestones. Joe accepted a position with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Georgia graduated from Troy University. A year later, Georgia was promoted into her role as Marketing Coordinator with Ward Scott Morris Architecture. Through every change, they leaned on one another, celebrated each win, and navigated every transition together, growing stronger as a team.

A Family Trip That Changed Everything

What began as a family trip to Las Vegas slowly unfolded into one of the most meaningful chapters of their lives. Between shared laughter, quiet conversations, and taking in unforgettable sights together—like standing side by side at the Hoover Dam—the trip became filled with moments that felt simple yet deeply special. At the time, it was just a family making memories, unaware that this journey would soon hold a significance far greater than they could have imagined.

The Proposal at The Venetian

During their time in Las Vegas, Georgia and Joe found themselves at The Venetian, drawn in by its romance and timeless beauty. As they floated along the gondola, surrounded by soft lights, gentle music, and the quiet rhythm of the water, Joe surprised Georgia with a proposal she would never forget.

Being proposed to on a gondola felt nothing short of magical—intimate, emotional, and perfectly them. The moment was filled with joy, happy tears, and a deep, unmistakable feeling that this was the beginning of their forever.

Adventures Beyond the Strip

The trip was filled with unforgettable moments beyond the proposal. Together, they explored much of Las Vegas, taking it all in and savoring every experience along the way. One night stood out in a special way—watching The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere, an immersive experience that transformed a beloved classic into something truly breathtaking.

They also ventured beyond the city, visiting the Hoover Dam and Zion National Park. From standing in awe of the dam’s impressive scale to soaking in the quiet beauty of Zion’s towering cliffs, the contrast between the energy of the city and the peace of nature made the trip feel even more meaningful.

A Love Built for a Lifetime

What makes Georgia and Joe so strong is the way they support one another. Georgia admires Joe’s work ethic and the way he loves her with intention and selflessness. Growing up, she always hoped to find a love like her parents’—one built on commitment, respect, and the daily choice to stand together. In Joe, she found exactly that.

Their relationship is rooted in understanding, communication, and shared purpose. They listen, grow, and face challenges with honesty and grace.
